For a true appreciation of the stunning features of this blue and green buds platter, seeing it in person is a must. This plate’s naive design was inspired by the maker’s surroundings in Fayoum’s spectacular oasis, located to the west of Egypt’s Nile River.
Made by hand in Fayoum, Egypt, the platter is 35-37cm in diameter and crafted with fire clay from Aswan (Egypt). The gliss free of lead material is painted with earthen oxides, and its unique imperfections make it a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Can be hanged as wall decoration.
Please note that slight variations may occur due to the handmade process, adding to the charm of the bowl. It can also be hung on the wall as a decorative piece.
We recommend hand washing in warm water and drying. Please do not place in the microwave, directly on top of a burner, or in the oven. Using harsh scrubbing cream or pads to clean can scratch the surface. Fayoum pottery is meant to be used, held and enjoyed on a daily basis. Proper care and handling of the pieces will help retain their beauty and function for years.
